Album review: Tiffany Evans - Tiffany Evans

Tiffany Evans is only 15 years old, but she's already released her 1st studio album. She got a nice voice - not that special, but she can sing and sounds good - and she's talented.

The executive producer of this album is Ciara, and I think Tiffany can be like Ciara - or better IMO - later. I don't really like the 1st single, "Promise Ring", because I think that song is too catchy and tacky. But the majority of the album is good. She worked with good producers and recorded some nice tracks. I like "Impossible" very much, and I think she sound great on "About A Boy", especially on the 1st part of the song. I really like "Favorite Broken Heart" as well. That song is very catchy and cute.

At first I wasn't satisfied with the album, I only liked 2-3 tracks, but after a few listens I can say that it's a very good debut from this young girl. I'm satisfied with this album. I didn't expect it to be this good. Unfortunately there's not enough promotion and the album doesn't sell well.

Last week and this week many good songs leaked, but I didn't have time to post them. Now I post all of them together.

JENNIFER HUDSON - Spotlight

Spotlight may be Jennifer's 1st single from her debut album. The song is very catchy, I like it. It's better than her other songs that I've heard before. Those were too old fashioned, but this one is a nice track.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS - We Break The Dawn (Remix) feat. Flo-Rida

I really like this official remix of Michelle's 1st single. In my opinion it's better than the original version.

NE-YO - Trouble / Nobody

Ne-Yo's 3rd album will be in stores this summer and new songs are leaking... I don't really like his current single "Closer", but these new songs are kinda good. I kinda like Trouble, and I really like Nobody. That should be the next single.

TEAIRRA MARÍ - Exclusive

Teairra Marí's 2nd studio album will be released later this year. This new slow jam has leaked recently by her. I like this song.

ASHANTI - Body On Me (feat. Akon & Nelly)

Ashanti's new album "The Declaration" will be released soon. Body On Me is the 2nd single from the album. Even though I'm not a big fan of Ashanti, Akon & Nelly, I like the song. I think Akon sings too much on it, but it's a nice track.

BEYONCÉ - Should Have (Now I Know)

Beyoncé is working on her 3rd solo album, that'll be released later this year. This track may appear on it. It may be just a demo. I hope it won't be the 1st single... I don't really feel this song... it's a bit strange.

CASSIE - 2 The Morning

Cassie's 2nd studio album will be in stores later this year. I don't really like her, because I don't think she's a good singer... She's a model, and she doesn't have a big voice. But I like this song. It would be very hot if someone else sung it.

CHRIS BROWN - Superhuman (feat. Keri Hilson)

I didn't like Chris Brown when he debuted, but now I start to like him. I like his newer songs. This one will appear on the re-released version of his latest album. It's a nice slow jam featuring one of my favorite new singers, Ms. Keri Hilson.

DAVID ARCHULETA

And So It Goes (7/10) / With You (8/10) / Longer (8/10)

I really liked David at the beginning of this season, but he got more and more boring every week... He can sing, he's cute, but... I think he's boring. I hope he'll sing better songs in the finale. And So It Goes was very boring, but he sounded good, With You is finally a new song, not an old fashioned one, but it didn't really fit David's voice. I liked it, but it wasn't the best. He could've done better. Longer was boring, but his voice was great on this song.

DAVID COOK

The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face (7/10) / Dare You To Move (9/10) / I Don't Want To Miss A Thing (9/10)

The first song was a bit boring, but I liked the other two very much. I prefer David Cook to David Archuleta now. I think he deserves to win this show. He got a great voice and he's a good rock singer. I want him to win!

SYESHA MERCADO

If I Ain't Got You (10/10) / Fever (8/10) / Hit Me Up (8/10)

The Alicia Keys song was great. I don't really like Fever, but she did a great job. I hate Hit Me Up, that song is sooo annoying! I always hated it when I heard it on the radio. Syesha sounded great on it as well, and it was great to see/hear her singing an uptempo song, but the producers should've chosen an another song for her.

I knew she would leave this week, so I'm not surprised at all. Congrats to her for making the top3!

This week many songs leaked from Usher's upcoming album, so I thought I should post them.

I think it's gonna be a good album! My favorite songs are This Ain't Sex and Love In This Club.

I've added Echo and Just Like Me to the playlist, but these songs won't be on the album. Maybe they'll be bonus tracks. Rumor has it, that Echo will be on Ciara's new album. We'll see...

American Idol: Top 4

Sorry for being late with this post, but I'm very busy with school and my exams now...

Well, this week the Idols performed rock&roll songs. My top 2 were Syesha and David Cook. I'm so happy that after being so many times in the bottom 3 and bottom 2, Syesha is in the top 3 now!! I know she won't be in the Grand Finale, but next week she can perform 3 songs!

I think the winner will be David Archuleta, but now I think David Cook would deserve it more.

Stand By Me

I love this song, but the Fugees' cover is much better than David's rendition. Anyways I liked it... 8/10

Love Me Tender

He sounded better on this song, but it was more boring... 8/10

The beginning was boring, but the whole thing sounded great! 8/10

Hungry Like A Wolf

Good performance, but not the best. 8/10

I kinda liked it, but I don't like that Jason sounds the same every week... 7/10

It was an OK performance. 6/10

I really loved this performance. Syesha singed, danced and looked like a superstar! 10/10

She sounded very good again, but the song was a bit boring. 8/10

Then do you know this song:

I'm sure you've heard Ain't That Just The Way and Someone Loves You Honey. These songs were big hits in Europe in the 90s as well as Stranded and Perfect Love.

I often hear these tracks on the radio. I didn't know who sings them, until I've searched for the artist... then I've found out that this singer had many hits back in the 90s.

Lutricia McNeal is an American R&B, pop and dance singer. She was very successful in Europe in the mid- and late 90s.

Now she's working on her new album which will be released in August. The 1st single will be Same Same Same and the title of the album is Great Moments.

New song: Kat DeLuna - You Are Only Mine

This new track is on the re-released/international (Australian, French etc.) version of Kat's debut album, 9 Lives. I really love the song! It's a beautiful ballad, and that's a good thing, cuz the original version of the album lacked of ballads. Kat sounds great, I love her voice.

Album review: Jordin Sparks - Jordin Sparks

I really liked Jordin on AI6, and I'm happy that she won it! Her voice is amazing and I like her style as well.
I think it's a good debut album, but there are some album filler tracks.... if those weaker track weren't on the album it would be better! It was a quick album, she released it a half year after the show and she recorded many tracks for it. There are 17 tracks with the bonuses!
My favorite song is Just For The Record, which is so catchy! I love it. I like the singles as well, and the interesting sound of Freeze and Young And In Love.
I think Jordin is a really talented new artist, this debut album is good, and her sophomore will be even better.

Album review: Danity Kane - Welcome to the Dollhouse

I've heard DK's first album as well, but I didn't like it... I only liked their xmas track, which is sooo damn hot! I know they are talented and can sing, but somehow I don't really feel their tracks.
I like this album much better then their debut. There are some good tracks on it. My favorites are 2 Of You (co-written by Wynter Gordon!!!) and one of the bonus tracks Make Me Sick.
Well, IMO it's an average album with some good tracks on it. If you liked their 1st album, you'll love this one, but if you never like them that much, you won't be their fan after you listened the album. If you like the 1st single, Damaged, give this album a listen!

American Idol: Top 5

This week the "idols" performed 2 songs by Neil Diamond. Brooke White went home and now Syesha is the only girl in the competition. I really hope she'll make it to the top 3.

I'm sure that one of the Davids will be the new American Idol.
